How it works

Six steps, no surprises, one price agreed up front.

Long distance moving has a reputation for a reason. Here is exactly how a move with us runs, from the first survey to the last signature, and how the price is built.

  1. Step 01

    The survey

A coordinator walks the home with you, by video or in person, and builds a room-by-room inventory. This takes about twenty minutes for an apartment and under an hour for a four-bedroom house. Nothing is guessed from a phone script.

  2. Step 02

    The estimate

You get a binding written price: line-haul, packing, valuation, and any accessorial like a long carry, stair charge, or shuttle. If we sized the shipment wrong, the overage is ours to absorb — that is what makes it binding.

  3. Step 03

    Booking and paperwork

We issue the Order for Service, the Bill of Lading, and the federal Your Rights and Responsibilities booklet. Load date and a delivery spread are locked to your closing or lease dates before you pay a deposit.

  4. Step 04

    Pack and load day

Packing usually happens the day before loading. On load day the crew pads and wraps furniture, tags every item, and loads. You review and sign the inventory before the doors close, then we weigh at a certified scale.

  5. Step 05

    In transit

Your coordinator confirms the truck's progress and calls you 24 hours before delivery to confirm the window. If your dates slip, we move the shipment into vaulted storage rather than leaving it on a trailer.

  6. Step 06

    Delivery day

The crew places furniture by room, reassembles anything we took apart, removes debris, and walks the inventory with you item by item. Payment is due on delivery at the binding price you already signed.

Pricing

What actually determines the number.

Five inputs, all of them on your estimate in plain language. If a competitor cannot break their quote down this way, they are leaving room to raise it later.

Weight
Interstate household moves are priced by actual weight, verified by scale tickets at origin and destination.
Distance
Line-haul mileage between the two addresses, on a published tariff rather than a guess.
Services
Packing, crating, appliance servicing, and unpacking are quoted individually so you can add or drop them.
Access
Long carries, stair flights, elevators, and shuttle trucks are disclosed on the estimate, never added later.
Valuation
Released value at 60 cents per pound is included; full-value protection is priced by declared value.
